She’s not remembered as well she should. Maybe because of her lousy carrier, maybe because of the « twin » that  confused her image and made it more common. Jean Simmons could definitely be considered the very mix of Vivien Leigh-no wonder Laurence Olivier liked her and asked to play his Ophelia in his 1948 Hamlet- and Elizabeth Taylor. A bit Demi-Moorish too. People say she should have quit after her most famous part in Angel Face by Otto Preminger in 1952, to remain an icon but she didn’t stop acting till the 80s.

We would have remembered a mysterious modern brat with big blue eyes and a strange hairdo acting weird and wild…
