- Remember Dutch painter Van Eyck hiding in his Arnolfini Portrait or Spanish master Velasquez in his Meninas, posing with the royal family, the two only paintings in art history to anticipate the new trend...
- What new trend?
- Those selfles on which you have to pose with very important people to prove you were there.
- As if your own self were not strong enough to prove your very own existence?
Let's call those new pics the "selfwies" (for selfles with). Spirit of the times.
