Furniture Design

Vautrin, Ionna (1979)

The French designer conceives uncluttered yet highly decorative objects featuring traditional materials and curved organic forms. To balance the purity of her design's shapes, she privileges acid tones and sharp adornments. Her objects develop sensitive narratives that refer to various inspirations: traditional Japanese lanterns, Easter Island statues or a Breton lighthouse. The young woman likes to imagine her designs are little characters with their own personality and attitudes which add a touch of humour, mischievousness and nostalgia to her work.
