Kenzo (1940)

The first male student to enter Tokyo's Bunka Fashion College, the Japanese designer, Kenzo Takada, moved to Paris in the 1960s before meeting with success in the 1970s. He designed fun and young creations mingled with a touch of Parisian elegance. He reinterpreted the kimono and used bright Oriental textiles that enabled an original fusion of cultures.
