Caroline Reboux (1837 - 1927)

A modest milliner at the beginning of her career, Caroline Reboux was fortunately discovered by the Empress Eugénie who helped her build a successful business. Renowned for her simple styles for which she privileged unpretentious feathered adornments, she is also considered the inventor of the 1920s popular cloche hat.
