Last French Cesar Award ceremony paid tribute to American still good-looking and french-speaking classy actor Michael Douglas. But it wasn’t only for him. In spite of his great talent and career, Douglas stands for Douglas, that is his father Kirk, almost one-hundred-year old, the last Hollywood veteran that played in movies by Minnelli, Litvak, Wilder, Kubrick, Kazan, Mankiewicz etc. co-starring Barbara Stanwyck, Lana Turner, Lauren Bacall, Faye Dunaway, Burt Lancaster, Henry Fonda... No other name today stands for so many glorious others.
