Name a great man/woman and you'll have his/her all prosthetic and false teeth acting version: Picasso, Lincoln, Hitchcock, Jobs, Grace, Diana and many more to come, Rasputin, Aretha Franklin, Yves Saint Laurent etc. Aristotle required mimesis for tragedy to be cathartic (no tragedy, no biopic) but never said that mimesis meant aping imitation supposed to lead actors and actresses straight to award winning. Biopics are to movies what Madame Tussauds is to sculpture: a breathtaking show that turns watching into a "Spot the difference" game, acting into a zealous hyper visual feat that makes you forget that characterization is all about inwardness and complexity…
