To celebrate its reopening, French Museum of Fashion Palais Galliera pays homage to fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa. Graduated from theTunis Academy of Fine Arts, he studied sculpture before fashion and advocates volumes. "The feminine body still mesmerizes me. All of it though I pay more attention to the small of the back and the bottom, much more interesting to me than breast can be." And indeed it shows. Always a maverick in the big fashion industry, Alaïa would never behave like expected. He worships 1940s French actress Arletty, his models are his friends for ever but he wouldn't give a damn about Big Fashion Mother Anna Wintour or Twitter and rejected Dior offers twice. And still he's a legend.
