Furniture Design

Morrison, Jasper (1959)

The British designer has established a “supernormal” concept aiming to create ordinary and rational objects via the process of industrial production. Founding his studio in the 1980s, he privileged a radical and ascetic signature far from Britain's conservatism and the popular Memphis design he nonetheless looked upon, impressed by the freedom of their creativity. 'Design makes things seem special, and who wants normal if they can have special? Special is generally less useful than normal, and less rewarding in the long term.'
